Expanding an In-Person Training Brand Into a Digital Athlete Development Platform
During the COVID pandemic, Pi Soccer partnered with Fountain Gates Media to expand its existing in-person training business into a scalable digital education platform.
The goal was not only to bring technical soccer training online, but to reposition the brand around a more holistic vision of athlete development, combining physical training with mental performance, recovery, mobility, and long-term player growth.
The resulting content ecosystem included long-form educational courses, social-first promotional content, branded photography, and digital assets designed to support both customer acquisition and long-term audience engagement.
Overview
Prior to the project, Pi Soccer primarily operated through in-person coaching sessions and group training.
The transition into digital education required the brand to:
establish credibility in an online learning environment
maintain a high-performance and professional tone
connect with both athletes and parents
create content capable of sustaining long-term engagement beyond introductory offerings
position online training as an extension of the broader Pi Soccer philosophy rather than a replacement for in-person coaching
Because online sports education was still relatively underdeveloped at the time, the content also needed to feel structured, premium, and trustworthy within a rapidly changing digital landscape.
